chapstick is a brand of lip balm. just like smackers and any other lip balm. you know like kleenex. Kleenex is a brand of tissuses just like puffs and scotties.
Chapstick is a brand name. All chapsticks are lip balm, but not all lip balms are chapstick.

That didn't really didn't answer the question . using the brand-name as the product type ( ChapStick ) Carmex has a few different ingredience than ChapStick .
