Anyone want to share their own lip balm recipes?

Hi

Try this recipe

Cocoa Lip Balm

Lip balm makes the lips soft in the winter, especially when they get chapped from the cold. It also makes your lips kissable in a flavor, and

You Will Need

Glass Bowl

Small Containers

Microwave

Pen

Spoon

Sticker Maker or Glue

2 tsp Coco Powder

6 tsp Vaseline or Petroleum Jelly

Paper

Coco Lip Balm

1.Make your lips taste delicious with some coco lip balm.

2. Place the petroleum jelly / vaseline in to a bowl.

3.Melt it down using a microwave, this should take a few minutes, but take it out and stir it regularly.

4.Stir in the coco and return to the microwave for another 20 seconds.

5. Pour in to small plastic containers and leave to set.

6. Design some cute packaging.

Either use a sticker maker or glue the design to the containers. Package it up and it's ready to use or give to your friends.

Tips [edit]

鈥se cocoa powder like you would use in hot chocolate.

鈥etroleum jelly is usually an ingredient used in the moisturizing lip balms that are sold in stores.

鈥ubstitute beeswax with a touch of almond oil or coconut oil, and add whatever flavor you prefer, if you wish to avoid petroleum products.

鈥se a disposable container to melt the Vaseline in, so you can just throw it away afterward.

鈥f you use instant cappuccino mix, you might want to try to use that instead of cocoa mix.

鈥f you are curious as to what color your lips will be, just put some powder on your wet lips to get a pretty good idea.

鈥ittle beer bottle caps as containers could be small and very cute.

I don't have my own recipe, but I do swear by Carmex Mint Lip Mositurizer with SPF 30. Its the only chapstick I've found that mositurizes my very dry lips all day, and it has the added sun protection so my lips don't get burned (and yes, lips can get burned). It also gives my lips a nice, subtle sheen.
here are some recipes that I make.

Chocolate Lip Balm

1 oz. beeswax beads

8 oz sweet almond oil

2 T powdered chocolate

16 1/2 oz lip balm tins

in double broiler add 1 oz. beeswax beads and 8 oz of sweet almond oil. heat slowly until beeswax is melted. remove from heat and add 2 T powdered chocolate.(baking chocolate) stir this mixture well making sure the chocolate powder is evenly mixed. add into 1/2 oz lip balm containers. this can be used as soon as the mixture cools and Enjoy!

Glossy lip balm

1 oz beeswax beads

4 oz. sweet almond oil

2 oz. apricot kernel oil

4 oz Shea butter

flavor oil of your choice 10-15 drops

16 12oz lip balm tins

in double broiler add 10z beeswax beads and 8 oz of sweet almond oil and apricot oil slowly just until the beeswax is melted. ';Remove from heat and add the Shea butter. heat mixture until the Shea butter is me lted. add flavor oil. pour into 1/2 oz lip balm tin containers. This can also be used as soon as the mixture hardens.

this will make 22-24 tins.

Enjoy!
